Mens' ballroom shoes are typically lace-ups with 1-inch heels and patent leather uppers.
Ladies' ballroom shoes are typically court shoes with low 2-inch heels, usually made of fabric so that they can be finished with a greater variety of colours to match the dancer's dress.
